MAJESTIC HIMALAYAS

Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134m, Dorje Ling, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Upon arrival at Bagdogra. You will be met by your Earnest Educational Tour Director who will then assist you to your coach for your onward drive to Darjeeling. Lunch en-route. Later in the afternoon, check in at hotel. Rest of the evening is free for leisure stroll in the market. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After an early morning wake-up-call, we will leave for our visit of the Tiger Hill to see the beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchendzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden, it is truly a majestic sight. Breakfast at a local restaurant before we visit the Ghoom Monastery which is oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Tiger Hill. Lunch at a local restaurant and then proceed for a city tour visiting the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee Centre, Lebong, Gombu Rock and Happy Valley Tea Estate. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, we will depart Happy Valley Tea Estate and learn the art of tea growing and cultivation. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit Tenzing rock. This is the point where Tenzing Norgay- the first Everest climber practiced his climbing skills. In the evening, we will go for a hot air balloon ride and then onward to the local markets for a leisurely stroll. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, we will drive through the tea gardens to the Teesta Valley for our rafting adventure. The rapids at Teesta are graded 2 to 4 and we will be countering those which fall between 2 to 3. We will be beginning our adventure from Melli to 29th Mile (1.5 Hrs of rafting). At campsite, we will have lunch and then start our onward drive to Gangtok (70 Kms, 4 Hrs approx). Check in, dinner and overnight at hotel.

Gangtok:
At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid 19th century and has undergone rapid growth since then. The downtown area is dominated by government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhists symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people travelling to north Sikkim surrounded by Monasteries & orchids; Gangtok is truly a traveler’s delight.
After breakfast, we will proceed for a city tour visiting the Rumtek Monastery and Do Drul Chorten. After lunch, we will continue to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Cottage Industry & flower show complex. Evening free for leisure stroll at the local market. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will depart for our air adventure to Baliman Dara. Tandem paragliding will be done under guidance and supervision of trained instructors. The flying altitude will be 1300 – 1400 meters for 5-10 mins of flytime. After a local lunch, we will visit the Orchid complex to view the 500 odd varieties. Later take a ride on the Gangtok Ropeway for the panoramic view of the city and valley. Evening free for leisure walk in the local market. Gala dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, we will board our coaches back to Bagdogra in time for your onward flight for home. (Lunch en-route).

Manage Deadlines: Earnest Educational Tours makes all the arrangements for your tour months in advance. It is important for you to adhere to all the payment deadlines provided to you to ensure that your child's reservation is secure.


Get Prepared For The Tour: You will receive a detailed itinerary, details of hotels and a copy of your ticket from us. Students should spend some time on preparation work. Your child should read up about the places they are about to visit.
